Too much intrusion from humans leaves the Tibetan antelopes on constant alert.

A train travels through a path reserved for migrating Tibetan antelopes.

Every June and July, Zhan and his co-workers keep a close eye along the Qinghai-Tibet railway to ensure the safety of migrating antelopes.

Zhan and one of his co-workers enjoy their simple dinner at the Non-Freeze Spring station's canteen.

Travelers and railway platelayers sometimes stop by at the protection station's tiny and cramp kitchen to prepare meals for themselves.

Life is more enjoyable when co-workers from other protection stations drop by for a visit.

Patrol workers are observing Tibetan antelopes from the watch tower at Xuonandajie station.
