Podcast: Investing in China's Aging Population

China’s massive population bulge that emerged under Mao and ended with the one-child policy is getting old. People over 60 years old currently make up about 13 percent of China’s population. That number is expected to double in the next 20 years and triple in the next 40. This rapidly aging population presents many challenges that require both government and business to pick up the slack.

In today’s podcast Benjamin Shobert, founder and managing director of Rubicon Strategy Group, talks about the investment opportunities related to senior care and the unique challenges China faces in developing the industry. He also addresses the difficulties beyond just the healthcare field associated with training and retraining qualified staff.
