As part of our focus on the National People's Congress (NPC) meeting this week, the Economic Observer has designed an interactive map showing how delegates to the Congress break down along gender, ethnic, education level, and party lines.

Which NPC delegation has the most women? Which has the most minorities? Which has the most Communist Party members? How many delegate's does the People's Liberation Army have? Use the map to explore these and other points of interest, and perhaps turn up a few trends.

Simply click on a location or its name and the related data will appear underneath the map. You can scroll through the data, and just hop up back to the map to see other delegations.

Delegate data comes from the NPC official website; provincial data is based on the 2000 national census. Note that education levels include degrees obtained through part-time study.
