Deputy Director of Guangdong's Anti-Corruption Office Under Investigation
On Sep 9, Guangdong's provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection confirmed that Mo Yuanheng (莫远航), the deputy director of the province's anti-corruption office, is under investigation on suspicion of serious violations of discipline.
According to a profile of Mo posted to the official website of the People's Procuratorate of Guangdong Province in 2008, Mo had previously been awarded a special award for being one of China's "ten outstanding prosecutors." The profile also described Mo as being a real hero who could bring down "tigers."
