Zhu Xiaohuang (朱小黄), the vice president of China Construction Bank, is set to take over the reins at China Citic Bank (中信银行) and will also take up other senior positions with the Citic Group Corporation (中国中信集团有限公司).

The Economic Observer has learned from an unnamed source that Zhu will soon replace Chen Xiaoxian (陈小宪) as president and party secretary of China Citic Bank.

Zhu will also replace Chen as the vice president of CITIC Limited (中国中信股份有限公司). The bank is expected to make an announcement about the personnel changes later today.

Zhu, who is regarded as an experienced and competent banker, has worked at the China Construction Bank for 30 years and has served in various positions including governor of the bank's Guangdong offices and Chief Risk Officer.

Zhu also has published several books on banking and risk management.

The departing Citic Bank president Chen Xiaoxian took up his position at the bank and other senior positions at Citic in 2004.

Before that Chen had worked at China Merchants Bank for 11 years.
