According to someone in the police station in Harbin, the GA-06 armored cars are adapted from military WZ551 6×6 wheeled armored cars made in China. It is 7.6 meters long, 2.8 meters wide and 3.03 meters high. They weigh 12.7 tons and each hold 11 people.

As the car is used for maintaining public security, it is only equipped with a heavy machine gun of 5.8mm and tear-gas emitter of 64mm. The car is amphibious and can drive on the surface of the Songhua River.
