18 Provinces Lift Minimum Wage in First Half of 2011

18 provinces have lifted their minimum wages in the first half of this year. Currently, Shenzhen leads the way for the province with the highest minimum monthly wages of 1,320 yuan. Beijing requires employees pay a  minimum hourly wages of 13 yuan. According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, over the coming 5 years, minimum wages should increase by no less than 13% every year.
