Guangzhou Government Departments Take Questions from CPPCC Delegates

Yesterday morning officials from 27 departments of the Guangzhou Municipal government took questions from delegates to the local People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), which is supposed to represent the interests of a broad range of the community. According to organizers, the event was aimed at increasing face-to-face communication between the two political institutions and to allow government departments to respond to questions about pressing issues raised by CPPCC delegates.
