CITIC Group to Begin Construction on 500m Skyscraper in Beijing

The skyline of Beijing's CBD is set to change in coming years as in mid-Sept CITIC group plans to begin construction on a new 500-meter skyscraper that will be home to their new head office and dwarf the China World Trade Center Phase III building, which currently holds the title of Beijing's tallest building at a mere 330 meters. The new building will be known in Chinese as 中国尊 (Zhōngguó zūn) or China Goblet. It will have 4 floors below ground and 118 stories above. The building will be located to the northeast of the Guomao intersection, just south of the new CCTV headquarters.
