Murong Xuecun at the Hong Kong Book Fair

One of the most popular stories posted to the Economic Observer's Chinese-language website last month was the abridged text of a speech given by Chinese author Murong Xuecun (慕容雪村) at the 23rd Annual Hong Kong Book Fair.

The author later posted an extended version of the speech to his Sina Weibo account and it spread quickly online.

Tea Leaf Nation, a website that translates content from China's social media, translated the full text of Murong Xuecun's speech.
