One of the most popular stories posted to the Economic Observer's Chinese-language website last month was the abridged text of a speech given by Chinese author Murong Xuecun (
慕容雪村) at the
23rd Annual Hong Kong Book Fair.
The author later posted an extended version of the speech to his Sina Weibo account and it spread quickly online.
Tea Leaf Nation, a website that translates content from China's social media, translated the full text of Murong Xuecun's speech.
