At a press conference held by the Ministry of Land and Resources on Tuesday, an official revealed that the Ministry of Land and Resources and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development are currently in the process of conducting a nation-wide survey into minor property rights. The survey is being conducted in order to better devise suitable policy related to the transfer and sale of rural collectively-owned land. Minor property rights refer to the "limited ownership" that applies to property that has been built on rural land. Currently, such property can not be legally sold or transferred to others.
