State Council Considers Implementation of Plan to Restructure and Revitalize Key Industries

At a meeting of the standing committee of China's State Council yesterday, participants considered the implementation of a plan to restructure and revitalize certain key industries. The State Council announced six measures aimed at encouraging the transfer of telecommunications, light industry, textiles and other industry to the central and western regions of the country, as well as establishing a system to monitor carbon emissions from the country's steel industry.
