China's State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA)issued two emergency notices yesterday stating that it would start cracking down on the use of low-grade cooking oil and also disposable chopsticks. Low-grage cooking oil is often either recycled oil collected from restaurant left overs or cheaply produced animal fat. Any oil or disposable chopsticks that don't meet the required standards will be destroyed.
