Foreign companies may get listed on Chinese stock Exchange this year; the China Securities Regulatory Commission is drafting legislation on "International IPO" regulations which may be launched on the Shanghai Stock Exchange as early as this year, according to a statement made by Xu Quan, deputy director of Shanghai's Municipal Financial Office, at a press conference. This echoes China's State Council who on Tuesday expressed support of widening the financial channels available to foreign companies by allowing them to be listed on the Chinese stock market.
