Public Hospital Patients Allowed to First Get Treatment, then Pay

Patients of public hospitals will be allowed to get treatment first and then pay their hospital bills, though they will be required to give a deposit before receiving treatment, according to Zhao Minggang, vice director of the Ministry of Health's Department of Health Management and Policy. He also stated that charging a deposit was only a temporary policy and would be eliminated once China's system of credit matures.
