There is a Chinese saying: "A new official applies strict measures." Fu Zhenghua, who was appointed as the new head of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau on February 26th, has been cracking down on Beijing's sex industry since April 11th. On May 11th, Beijing police conducted surprise searches of several large nightclubs including the well-known "Tianshang Renjian" or "Paradise" club.
