Official Probe Launched into Medical Malpractice at Major Beijing Hospital

China's Ministry of Health yesterday evening stated that it would order the Beijing Municipal Health Bureau to investigate a case of alleged medical malpractice which resulted in a medical professor from Peking University dying of complications during routine operation at Peking University's First Hospital in 2006. The hospital has beenaccuesed of engaging unlicensed post-graduate students from Peking University Health Science Center to practice medicine.
