Police Announce Arrest of 94 People on Suspicion of Involvement in Urumuqi Riot
Xinjiang Police yesterday revealed that by the end of November, they had arrested a further 94 people who were suspected of involvement in the Urumuqi riot on July 5 this year. The arrests were part of a broader month-long crackdown on general crime in the autonomous region that resulted in the smashing of 66 criminal gangs and resulted in the arrest of an additional 288 fugitives.
