Communist Party of China to Hold Officials Accountable

The General Office of the CPC has announced the trial of the regulation requiring local governments to hold officials accountable for their actions. It says, government officials who have been punished by having their positions changed are prohibited from being promoted within one year; those who have taken responsibility and have resigned or have been relieved of their posts are prohibited to either take positions of the same level within the year or be promoted within two years; and officials who have been demoted are not allowed to be promoted within two years.
