Agricultural Produce Prices Rise for 10 Consecutive Weeks

According to data from the Ministry of Commerce, prices of agricultural products rose 0.2% last week from the week before, rounding off a ten week increase. Despite rumors that China's agricultural sector has been targeted by domestic and foreign speculation, an analyst specializing in the agricultural field has attributed the recent price increases to the ending of northern China's vegetable production season and the limited supply of vegetables coming from southern China.
