Professor Expresses "Disappointment" at Lack of Progress in Revising Forced Eviction Regulations

A year has passed since five professors from Peking University submitted a long letter urging revision of the "Expropriation and Management Regulations for Urban Housing" to the National People's Congress. Though the professors have since met with various government departments they are yet to receive an official response from the central government. Jiang Ming'an, a law professor at Peking University and one of the authors of the letter, expressed his disappointment at the lack of progress.
