The Standing Committee of China's State Council plans to discuss adjustments to China's individual income tax at meetings to be held in Beijing on Mar 2. According to one source, possible amendments to the tax law include adjusting the details of what portion of a worker's salary can be deducted for expenses, lifting the salary level at which the minimum tax rate begins to be applied by an appropriate amount and adjusting both the various tax rates and income bands. In addition, delegates are discussing the establishment of a system that will adjust according to claims for expenses.
