Provincial, Municipal and County Governments Given Until November to Make Shift to Non-pirated Computer Software

While visiting Guizhou on Wednesday, He Hua, the fdeputy director of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), told reporters that according to State Council requirements, by the end of October this year, all provincial, city and county governments across the country will have inspected the process of switching to non-pirated software on all official computers. Mr. He also said that businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, will also be expected to have made breakthroughs in terms of the use of licensed software.
