At a meeting of the standing committee of Shandong's provincial People's Congress held yesterday, the provincial government put forward a proposal to remove Zhang Wanqing, the former Secretary of Shandong Provincial government. In April, the 56 year-old Zhang was taken away by authorities from the CPC's Discipline Inspection Committee for investigation.
