How Much do the Managers in China's Centrally-owned Enterprises Earn?
An expert from China's State-owned Assets regulator yesterday revealed that the annual salary for top managers in centrally-owned enterprises ranged from 200,000 yuan (nearly 30,000 US dollars) to 800,000 yuan (nearly 120,000 US dollars) per year. The average annual salary was around 400,000 yuan (59,000 US dollars).

2.34 trillion kilowatt hours of electricity were consumed in China from Jannuary to August this year, 0.36% higher than the figure for the same period last year, according to statistics released by the National Energy Administration. This marks the first time this year that cumulative electricity consumption numbers have witnessed positive year-on-year growth.
