- 2.34 trillion kilowatt hours of electricity were consumed in China from Jannuary to August this year, 0.36% higher than the figure for the same period last year, according to statistics released by the National Energy Administration. This marks the first time this year that cumulative electricity consumption numbers have witnessed positive year-on-year growth.
