Head of Samsung China Resigns, Korean Successor to be Announced

According to a reliable source, Pu Genxi resigned as President of Samsung China on December 21, 2010. It has been reported that Keung , a South Korean, will be named as his successor.

Samsung plans to make the official announcement on January 5th.

Pu Genxi began work at Samsung in 1978 and was appointed president of Samsung China in 2005. As president, Pu focused on winning the expanding Chinese market through a customer-focused approach.

Samsung currently manufactures over 90% of its products in China. China is the currently the company’s second largest consumer base, and is rapidly becoming the heart of the international electronics market.
