NDRC Rumored to be Raising Power Prices in Some Areas

The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) is rumored to be planning electricity price rises in some areas of the country where the gap between rising coal prices and the price of electricity has expanded. Power plants that rely on coal to produce electricity, have been lobbying the government to link the price of electricity to the price of thermal coal.
