The State-owned Asset Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) released a notice on its website yesterday (though the document says the notice was released on October 11) announcing a pilot program that will offer bonus incentives to staff at 13 centrally-owned enterprises (COE). According to the notice, technicians engaged in important research and essential management personnel who have been with the company for at least 1 year will receive dividends depending on the amount of profit the companies make. The pilot involves many high-tech and research-oriented COEs located in the Zhongguancun area of Beijing. The scope of the program is expected to be gradually enlarged.
