Profit of 594 Funds Exceeds 900 Billion Yuan in 2009
Benefiting from the recovery of China's A-share market, 594 funds of 60 fund companies gained a combined profit of 910.25 billion yuan last year, with their equity funds earning 873.9 billion yuan, amounting to 96% of the total profit. In 2008, the investment fund industry on a whole suffered a loss of 1.5 trillion yuan, among which, the loss of equity funds accounted for 1.46 trillion yuan.

Shan Yangzhong, director of Shanghai branch of China Senior College Exhibition Organization Committee, said some 2,000 mainland students would be able to study at Taiwan universities for one school term at their own expenses from September this year.
