38 People Killed in Mine Accidents
Since July 17, four mine accidents have occurred in China, resulting in 38 deaths and leaving another 13 people trapped. The owner of a mine in Hancheng City, Shanxi Province, where a mine fire claimed 28 lives has been arrested; all the mines in Hancheng have been forced to stop production and are currently undergoing inspection.
